This Privacy Policy applies to the AWAKE & STILL DROWNING Trigger App, operated by Secret Theatre Societyunder the public-facing name XOSECRET / Secret Theatre.
The app is designed to support the live presentation of AWAKE & STILL DROWNING, a room-scale VR performance, by providing local control and synchronization tools for Meta Quest headsets.
The app does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal information.
What the app does
The AWAKE & STILL DROWNING Trigger App:
Hosts a local multiplayer/control session on the device’s local network
Uses local network communication to connect with Meta Quest headsets on the same Wi-Fi network
Allows trained presenters to launch, coordinate, and manage timed VR performance sessions
The app is used as a live presentation tool. It does not contain the full VR experience itself.
Data collection
The app does not collect personal information.
The app does not:
Collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contact information
Track users across apps or websites
Send user data to external servers
Sell or share personal data
Use advertising identifiers
Request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location services
Local network use
To function properly, the app requires access to the local network.
This allows the iPhone or iPad running the app to communicate with Meta Quest headsets connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
This communication happens locally and in real time during live presentations of the work.
Data storage
The app does not store user data locally or in the cloud.
All control and synchronization processes are handled locally during use of the app.
Third-party services
The app does not send personal data to third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
