Welcome to the support page for the AWAKE & STILL DROWNING Trigger App.

This app is designed to help presenters launch, coordinate, and manage the AWAKE & STILL DROWNING VR performance experience across multiple headsets.

The app is intended for use by trained presenters, technicians, and collaborators working with XOSECRET / Secret Theatre.

What the app does

The AWAKE & STILL DROWNING Trigger App:

  • Syncs Meta Quest headsets over a local Wi-Fi network

  • Launches timed sessions of the VR performance

  • Enables real-time coordination and playback control

  • Supports the live presentation of the work

The app does not contain the full VR experience itself. It functions as a control interface used during live presentations.

Technical requirements

To use the app, you will need:

  • An iPhone or iPad running iOS 14.0 or later

  • A local Wi-Fi network

  • Meta Quest headsets connected to the same network

  • Local network permissions enabled on the iOS device

Do I need an internet connection to use the app?
No. The app is designed to work over a local Wi-Fi network. An internet connection may be needed to download updates, but regular use of the app does not require internet access.
